Brian Doerner

Without a doubt, Brian Doerner is one of the best drummers Canada has ever produced.  Brian was a member of the band from 1976 to 1980, and has played on many subsequent Helix recordings.

On the first Helix album "Breaking Loose" Brian was a stand-out on the song "Billy Oxygen", and at that time he was only about 18 years old. After Brian left Helix in 1980, he went on to play with several other recording acts, including Refugee, Lee Aaron, and Ray Lyell.

Shortly after Brian's appearance on the "30th Anniversary Concert" stage in 2004, drummer Glen "Archie" Gamble departed to tour with The Joys and Brian returned to the Helix drum throne.
