Ron Watson was the original lead guitarist for the Helix band. Ron played a custom Gibson SG.
Ron left the band before we really ever went on the road. When Ron decided to leave the band, he asked Brent Doerner to take his place before talking to any other band members. He told Brent to come out to practice and watch, but not to say anything about Ron leaving because he wanted to tell us himself.
After about 3 or 4 practices, Brent started to get pissed off because everyone else wondered why he was hanging around, so finally Ron told us he was leaving.
