Mike Uzelac

Mike Uzelac replaced original Helix bassist "Bert" Zurbrigg in 1979. Unknown to the band at the time, Mike was only 17 years old.

Mike was an excellent musician and showman on stage as well as being a talented writer. Mike was also a heavy drug user.

While on tour in western Canada, Mike picked up a copy of the bible, swore off drugs and announced he was leaving the band. This situation occured with the pending signing of Helix to Capital Records and a scheduled tour of Europe with Kiss.

Mike has been seen only once (outside of Detroit, Michigan) since his last appearance with Helix. Even his family is unable to locate him.
