During the signing process with Capital Records and the upcoming Kiss tour of Europe in 1983, bassist Mike Uzelac abandoned Helix without notice.
The band recruited Mark Rector whom they knew. Mark toured with Helix during 1983 but never appeared on any recordings.
Although a great bass player, Mark did not satisfy the "grinding" tour requirements of Helix and was replaced by Daryl Gray at the end of the Kiss tour.
