1981 - Breaking Europe

This would be the year that would see the release of "White Lace and Black Leather", our second independent release on our own H&S label. Once again we were getting heavy press in Music Express, Canada 's #1 music mag at that time, and with this album we would make inroads into the European market as well with the song, "Woman Whiskey & Sin".

KISS/KAMAC radio with DJ Joe Anthony, in San Antonio , Texas was also giving us a heavy push, as well as Chris Johnson from KACV-FM at Amarillo College.

This album saw the band writing heavier material than on the previous disc, "Breaking Loose". We sold over 10,000 copies of this album from stage between sets as we once again toured Canada from coast to coast.

The Top 30 List from the British Mag Kerrang

Helix managed to climb the British charts with an independant album which was extremely rare during that time in history.

Leo Niebudek, drums, strikes a "smiley" pose for the camera.
