1982 – Between Things

This would be an "in between" year for the band. It would be the year between "White Lace and Black Leather" and our first Capitol release, "No Rest for the Wicked".

Once again we were criss-crossing Canada from coast to coast gaining fans and solidifying our reputation as being the hardest working band in Canada . Once again the band was developing a heavier edge to its sound, the result of playing Judas Priest, Rainbow, and Sammy Hagar covers.

Many metal acts such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest were starting to break in England , and it was there where we were starting to get enormous press in Sounds and Kerrang magazine.

Ironically, it was during this period that the band almost went bankrupt. At that time we played 3 sets in the bars, and gradually we had weined out our cover material and replaced it with our own original music. This idea worked well until we went totally original, at which point we started dying in the bars and had to revert back to playing some cover songs.

It was one of the darkest moments for the band, but as the old saying goes, "It's always darkest before the dawn".

This was in this year that Leo Niebudek would leave the band to be replaced by Greg "Fritz" Hinz, who was to remain a solid member for the next 17 years.
